Top 12 Lessons Learned From Living With a Chronic Illness

You are sick and seeking. I am sick and seeking.

Together, we are seeking HEALING.

I believe that YOU hold the most powerful self-healing ability, and your body’s journey to vitality, wholeness and wellness is uniquely yours.

So what if there is another person in the world who can offer their expertise or set of beliefs, techniques, or tools that can unlock another key piece of your healing story?

I want to share their knowledge, as well as the stories of others, who just like you, are living with and managing dis-ease in the body.

READY to embark on this ADVENTURE together?

PODCAST EPISODES

  • Ep. 1 | Jessica Gillespie and Rhumatoid Arthritis

In today’s episode I speak with Jessica Gillespie about what it’s like to live with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Jessica is a Marriage and Family Therapist and she also happens to be my best friend. Much to our surprise, we were both diagnosed with major medical conditions right around the same time.

  • Ep. 2 | Ceryn Roundtree and Her Holistic Approach to Supporting People on Their Healing Journey

In this episode I speak with my dear friend Ceryn Rowntree, medium, therapist, writer and primal priestess who I had the lucky fortune of meeting several years ago in an online coven.

  • Ep. 3 | Reema Doshi and Inflammatory Breast Cancer

In this episode I speak with my dear friend Reema Doshi who in 2017 was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer called inflammatory breast cancer (IBC).

I think it’s important to mention that you’re catching me at a very interesting moment in my life. I’d call it an initiation or re-birth.

It’s the start of a new chapter where I’m focusing much more of my time and energy on healing my body and bringing it back to vitality and wellness. That’s why I’ve decided to explore concepts of sickness and healing on the Sick and Seeking Podcast and offer wellness classes and experiences, such as my Wild Women’s Circle, Non-Linear Movement Classes and Wellness Retreats. This is also the beginning of me publicly sharing my health story beyond my friends and family, and you can hear more about this on the Sick and Seeking YouTube page. I am also facilitating a support group through meetup.com called Chronic Conditions - Coffee and Connection (this is a free group for people who are managing a chronic condition).

Though I am embarking on this exploration for my personal health-related reasons, I am also profoundly feeling the call to help others who too are navigating a life of dis-ease in their bodies and are seeking: connection; community; relief; understanding; validation, support; comfort, answers; meaning; hope and most importantly, HEALING.

The Sick and Seeking Podcast, Wild Women’s Circles and Non-Linear Movement Classes are a love note to the world and also my body, especially my kidneys. The call to both help and gather people runs deep. I know that creating my podcast and classes are a part of my healing story. I invite you to join me in one or all of my offerings, and I hope it can be a part of your healing story too.
